| So I was driving out in the Texas Hill Country. I was leading 3 other Z's and was about 100yds behind some motorcycles. I had the V1 on, both hands on the wheel and had my seat belt on. Day was partly cloudy and around 80*F. Traffic was light and no on-coming cars. So as the motorcycles go around a blind turn I am doing around 72mph. Then as I come around the turn the Texas DPS trooper is coming the other way and as I see him my V1 goes off the charts! He pulled me over for doing 72mph in a 55. Now the guy was nice and all but he didn't let me off with a warning. Maybe because I was Mexican and he was white. Nah that can't be it. 2 questions- How do I get the ticket dismissed and do I have a case against Mike Valentine for the detector not giving me better warning?<

J/K...I F'ed up and wasn't watching my speed and got caught. No excuses-althought I really did think the speed limit was 70mph but it was 55.
Anyways I always see people post their stories on how they got a ticket and bitch about how to get it dismissed or it wasn't their fault blah, blah, blah. The trooper was doing his job and I screwed up by not paying better attention to posted speed limit signs. I hope to see some of you Texas Z guys at Texas Z Nationals next weekend. We are having a Hill Country Cruise but I won't lead :-) [ www.texasznationals.com ]
